To keep your E3Point system performing optimally, WD Electric recommends replacing sensor cartridges every 2 to 3 years, depending on the gas type and environmental factors. Regular maintenance includes quarterly bump testing and calibration every 6 months to ensure accuracy, as per Honeywell’s guidelines. Always power down the unit before swapping sensors to prevent damage, and protect it from dust, water, and physical impacts. Proper placement : either in the “breathing zone” for personnel safety or near potential leak sources for fast detection, is key. 🚨 Cold Air Leak Detected in Walk-In Freezer : Thermal Imaging in Action ❄️
During a recent electrical infrared inspection, I also checked the walk in freezers exterior. This thermogram revealed a moderate but costly seal leak at the bottom of a walk-in freezer door. My estimate would be a plus 10 – 30% wattage draw / ineffiency on this unit.
